On Hold Media Group, OHMG, completes 16 months of R&D to bring forth the on-hold industry’s first network compatible playback device. The company began developing the WizPlayer in December 2002 after several months of studying ways to streamline the on-hold message process, which would incorporate the companies Production Wizard; www.onholdwizard.com, launched in March of 2001.

“The need for the WizPlayer WP2400 definitely came as a result of our development of The Production Wizard, the industry’s first and only web-based on-hold message management system,” says Rhodes, the companies Founder and President. The WizPlayer WP2400 polls the company’s delivery server in interval of 5 to 120 minutes, looking for a new message to pick up. The delivery is pretty much along the lines of “real-time” in that once OHMG’s client has logged into the company’s website and produces (arranges) a new on-hold message, it can be playing at their location within minutes.

Additionally, the WizPlayer WP2400 is FCC approved for use in North America and EC approved for International use. Most recently OHMG was awarded national and international contracts from Network Associates, Inc. (McAffee internet security). Network Associates selected OHMG due to the fact that they could have all of their national and international locations updated with new information within minutes of a new virus outbreak.

ABOUT THE PRODUCTION WIZARD: A new Internet-based technology for producing and delivering on-hold messaging is available through the On-hold Media Group (OHMG), a division of Arthur Industries, Inc. of Plano, Texas.
