"In late 2000, it became apparent to me that my clients were not receiving the level of service they expected and deserved from the franchise company's studio," Allan said. "This led me to begin investigating software development solutions that would support the creation of an online database management system specifically designed to meet the needs of my clients. My goal was to automate the on-hold message industry by streamlining the entire delivery process, thus delivering a high level of customer satisfaction. In turn, by simplifying the process and making it "fun" to work with, we have begun to experience a strong sense of customer loyalty and an affinity toward the Production Wizard and our company."
In December of 2000, Allan began to "map out" the concept for the Production Wizard with Robert Shaw, President of Data On The Web, and a leader in web-site development specializing in developing, implementing, and managing substantial database websites. Together they worked throughout the month of January 2001, establishing the architecture and fundamental framework to build and launch On Hold Media Group's Production Wizard over the ensuing 18 months.
Working in a "team spirit" with one another, we have continued to make advancements to the Production Wizard while we maintain our company's number one leadership position in the on-hold industry. Our team consists of skilled veterans from the technology, broadcasting and advertising industries. Allan has selected talented team members who display exceptional creative skills and a passion for excellent customer service, which he believes is paramount in managing the company's rapidly growing National client-base of several hundred plus client sites (and growing almost daily). "I consider myself to be fortunately blessed to find myself surrounded by such talented individuals who vitally make up our On Hold Media Group team, they have become like family to me. I have always believed that in order to become an outstanding corporate leader, it requires the ability to surround oneself with individuals that possess strength in areas where one is weak. I trust that On Hold Media Group is a reflection of that belief."
On-Hold Media Group's Production Wizard currently provides on-hold message service for a wide cross-section of clients ranging from national and international corporations such as Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, McAfee, Konica Minolta Business Solutions, TricorBraun, THARCO, RadioLogix, and Cingular Wireless. Additionally, the company has developed local and national relationships with membership associations such as the National Association of Credit Management (NACM), Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC), and National Association of Homebuilders (NAHB). Regionally, the company is pleased to have been awarded contracts from First American Bank with over 80 branchs in Texas, Hawk Electronics, The Reynolds Company, and Regal Plastics, as well as many other companies ranging from one office to dozens of branch locations.
OHMG has become the standard for the on-hold industry as a result of a strong history of firsts:
- 2001 – Launched the Production Wizard website: www.onholdwizard.com, industry’s first on-hold message management system.
- 2001 - Implemented WizDispatcher, industry’s first automated on-hold message delivery system.
- 2002 – Began designing the WizPlayer 2406, industry’s first network compatible on-hold message playback device.
- 2003 – Installed initial shipment of WizPlayer 2406 units for Centex Title
- 2004 – WizPlayer 2400 approved by McAfee Internet Security for all of their U.S. and International offices including Beijing. China.
- 2005 – WizPc Player announced with free 10-day Trial.
- 2007 - Released Production Wizard 3.0
- Streamlined production creation process
- Single-page control panel
- More flexibility and less time to create a new production!
- 2008 - Added capabilities to automate mixing of MOH files and notification of availability for VoIP-based customers
- 2009 - Coninually adding features to Production Wizard 3, which are useful to our customers and make creating and managing productions easier and more fun!
